At Nescot, we are recruiting for a highly organised and proactive individual with strong IT skills, particularly in data management systems such as EBS, SharePoint, and Excel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional accuracy, speed, and attention to detail, ensuring data integrity and timely completion of tasks. Excellent communication skills are essential for effective teamwork and liaison with external partners. A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to supporting learners with SEN are vital. The successful applicant will be a natural problem-solver, able to identify and implement more efficient ways of working and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Duties/responsibilities: The role is responsible for the effective management and maintenance of Special Educational Needs (SEN) data across multiple platforms, including EBS, SharePoint, and Promonitor. The postholder leads the annual planning and implementation of key processes, ensuring all staff are informed of critical deadlines and procedures. A core aspect of the role involves developing and running accurate SEN data reports for senior leaders and supporting the calculation of financial estimates for High Needs Learners in collaboration with Faculty Coordinators and Local Authority commissioners.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a keen ability to identify errors, resolve data issues, and proactively solve problems to ensure data integrity and process efficiency. The role requires close liaison with the SEN D Assessment Manager, Assistant Principal, and Learning Support teams to ensure smooth application, assessment, and enrolment processes for learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The postholder also manages monthly payroll submissions for Learning Support Assistants and ensures compliance with OFSTED criteria for SEN provision.
Additional responsibilities include attending relevant meetings, ensuring timely completion of Local Authority returns, and supporting departmental reporting needs in partnership with MIS. The postholder plays a key role in monitoring, updating, and evaluating data processes, supporting staff training, and contributing to the continuous improvement of SEN services to enhance learner outcomes and equality of opportunity.
Benefits: In return, we offer a close-knit, supportive working environment focused on staff and student wellness. Our attractive, green belt campus has excellent facilities and transport links. This initial fixed term contract presents a superb opportunity to make a difference in young people's lives.
