Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to: Assist the practice nursing team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care. Under the direction of a registered Practice Nurse undertake specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual. Under the direction of registered Practice Nurse undertake new patient health checks, sample collection, basic wound care and basic clinical assessments, record temperature, pulse and respiration rates, urine analysis, blood pressure, NHS (National Health Service) over 40s Health Checks, audiometry, blood glucose monitoring, and other observations as directed reporting any abnormalities. Carry out equipment checks and maintain equipment and ensure stock levels of medical stores including surgical equipment and vaccinations are maintained at appropriate levels.
