An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to lead on the implementation of the Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle version 3 (SBLCBv3). We are looking for a midwife who has experience of implementing and managing a programme with key deliverables. The midwife must have excellent communication skills, work well under pressure and be able to prioritise work to timescales. We are working towards continuous development of our services to meet the maternity transformation agenda and this role is key. The midwife must have a philosophy of woman-centred care and good knowledge of the SBLCBv3.

Clinical Leadership

Act as a clinical role model for effective clinical leadership, enabling and facilitating others to take forward initiatives around Saving Babies' Lives Care Bundle.

Work collaboratively with other professional groups to maximise development opportunities and inter-professional learning opportunities.

Job responsibilities

The post holder must be able to:

Communicate with the key stakeholders to maximise the success of SBLCBv3.

Provide timely and accurate progress reports to all stakeholders.

In collaboration with other senior midwives and midwifery managers contribute to providing and collecting evidence for achievement of SBLCBv3 at all levels, specifically in relation to standards where the care bundle requires evidence/audits to support the Trusts compliance and submission to the Maternity Incentive Scheme (MIS).

Work closely with the Consultant Midwife for Public Health, the Education Lead Midwife and the Quality and Safety Lead Midwife to achieve key deliverables.

Work closely with the MNVP to listen to service user feedback and target improvement work in line with SBLCBv3.
