Live In Care Assistant - Newport & Monmouth
Location: Newport & Monmouth & Surrounding Areas
Hours: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
Pay Rates: £910 per week with an additional £40 per week food allowance
We're looking for a compassionate and reliable Live-In Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes, helping them live safely, comfortably, and independently. You'll provide personal care, companionship, help with daily routines, and light household tasks—all while living in the client's home on a rota basis.
What You'll Be Doing
Assisting with washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Supporting with mobility, including help in and out of bed or using mobility aids
Managing continence care, skin care, and oral hygiene
Preparing meals and drinks to suit dietary needs and preferences
Providing light housekeeping, including laundry, tidying, and keeping the home safe
Helping with shopping, errands, or medication collection (if needed)
Prompting or administering medications in line with care plans
Keeping accurate records of medication and reporting any concerns
Supporting mental wellbeing, reducing loneliness and isolation
Keeping clear daily records using care notes or digital care systems

Essential Requirements
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle - you'll be travelling between client visits

A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
Good spoken and written English skills for communicating with clients and documenting visits
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
