About the Role
As the Information Hub Assistant, you'll be the welcoming face of our client's campus and the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. You'll play a key role in delivering essential information, supporting day-to-day operations, and ensuring everyone feels informed and supported. This is a varied role that requires excellent time management, prioritisation skills, and a calm, professional approach.
What You'll Do:
- Greet students, staff, and guests at the Campus Information Hub desk, creating a warm and professional first impression.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-presented reception area.
- Issue and monitor ID cards for students, staff, and visitors, and maintain accurate visitor records.
- Respond to enquiries in person, by phone, and via email, triaging effectively and directing them to appropriate resources.
- Liaise with campus departments to ensure the Information Hub remains a reliable and up-to-date resource.
- Support administrative teams with a range of tasks, including typing letters, managing student forms, booking auditions, and handling post.
- Monitor and authorise student absences via online forms.
- Maintain the telephone system and report any issues.
- Keep the storage room behind the Information Hub desk tidy and organised.
- Assist with general office duties to support the Information Hub Supervisor and wider administrative processes.
What You'll Bring:
- A good level of general education, including English and Mathematics.
- Previous experience in a customer service and/or administrative role.
- Excellent telephone manner and ability to manage high call volumes.
- Strong time keeping, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
- Professional personal presentation and communication skills.
- Friendly, empathetic attitude with a proactive approach to student support.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Computer literacy, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
The successful candidate will be employed by our client based in Leeds.
