Setting:
Family-run for over 30 years, Young Sussex Nurseries provide a stimulating and nurturing place for children to learn, develop and have fun. We recognise that happy, skilled staff are fundamental to excellent care and so we do all that we can to support, train and retain our staff.
Personal qualities:
We are looking for a conscientious, reliable part-time cleaner to join our team. You will have worked as a cleaner previously and have knowledge of the high level of health and hygiene required in a nursery environment. You are efficient and effective ensuring that a clean and tidy environment is maintained at all times.
Excellent time management, communication skill and attention to detail are essential to ensure that the whole nursery is thoroughly and completely cleaned every week during contracted hours.
Duties:
Thorough clean of communal areas, kitchens, bathrooms and playrooms at our nursery in Hove (Portland Road).
Mopping all vinyl floors in the nursery
Vacuuming carpets & rugs
Damp dusting
Kitchens – sinks and worktops
Bathrooms – sinks & WCs
Mirrors and windows
Cleaning of walls and doors as necessary
Deep clean specific areas as necessary

Salary: £12.28 - £13.14p/h
Hours of work: 15 hours per week.
Hours of work will be during the working week and within nursery open hours. Cleaning will take place between hours of 4.30pm-8pm daily when the nursery is less busy (can be flexible for the right candidate).
Closing Date: We are looking to fill this role asap.
