Job Title: Transport Supervisor

Location: West Thurrock, RM20 3LB

Job Length: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week. Working 8 hours per day, start times to vary, between 4.30am and 8am, on a Monday to Friday basis. Flexibility required to work outside of these times and to cover other shifts to suit business needs.

About the role:

Lead the charge in our transport operations, supporting drivers, ensuring driver and vehicle compliance, and keeping deliveries smooth and on time! We're looking for a confident, hands-on leader with transport know-how and a passion for great service. If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Transport Supervisor. Reporting to the Transport Manager, this role will play a key part of our succuss journey and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:



Role Responsibilities:

Responsible for compliance of all vehicles and drivers.
Providing skills required to deliver to customers on time and in full.
Providing high quality services to suit customer needs.
Providing support for distribution teams to ensure smooth running of operations.
Making sure all site objectives are met whilst not compromising on health and safety.
Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes.
Seeing the vehicles and crew out in the morning and overseeing the return of all vehicles and crews.
To be the point of contact for all real time delivery issues for the crews and to communicate with customer services.
Data and computer management including, authorising time sheets, and raising purchase orders.



Experience and Key Attributes:

Experience supervising or leading within transport or a logistics network.
Experience within transport compliance.
Customer Service.
IT literate.
Manual Handling.
IOSH certification beneficial however not required.
Transport Manager CPC beneficial however not required.
