We have opportunity for dynamic and enthusiastic Band 7 Physiotherapists to join our outpatient musculoskeletal service.
You will need core orthopaedic, manual therapy and exercise therapy skills and an ability to adopt a bio- psychosocial approach to the management of musculoskeletal patients. Experience of working in a musculoskeletal outpatient clinic setting that provides physiotherapy for GP and orthopaedic services is essential, as well as aproven ability in teaching, supervising and appraising band 6s, band 5s, and students.
All new staff appointed to posts at the Trust will be subject to a 6-month probationary period. This will give new staff members an opportunity to become familiar with the culture and working environment of the Trust.
To perform a highly advanced holistic therapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis and develop and deliver a highly specialised treatment plan
To hold responsibility for own caseload
To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
Supervise, educate and assess the performance of staff and student therapists, this will include working with universities, to ensure competencies are met
To initiate and undertake evidence-based departmental audit and research projects, to further own and service clinical practice.

Our patients are benefitting from our Women’s Health Hub in Ilford; anAgeing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) atBarking Community Hospital and atSt George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub.
These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 94,000 scans a year.
