Classroom Support are recruiting on behalf of a Central Folkestone based Primary School for 3 x Teaching Assistants to start in October and to continue for the remainder of the academic year.
The school in question has fantastic support mechanisms and facilities for their staff, a wonderful and rewarding environment with several options to progress within the school for the right candidates.
Position 1: The school are looking for someone with advanced knowledge of supporting students with ASD. You would be supporting a Year 1 boy with ASD 1:1 within the class and outside the class at times.
Position 2: The school are looking for someone who has strong experience supporting pupils that exhibit challenging behaviour. They require support for a Year 3 boy with ADHD and ASD.
Position 3: The school are looking for a general 'Teaching Assistant' supporting pupils in Reception class and KS1. There are two SEN students within the classroom, a Year R boy with GDD and SPlg who is academically working at Nursery level and requires support with his verbalisation and a girl from Year 1 who has undiagnosed SEN but is showing traits of Autism and struggles to focus.
There is a highly competitive rate of pay between £90 and £95 per day for working hours of 8.30am - 3.30pm.
Working days are Monday-Friday term time only.
Requirements of the role are,
· Experience supporting pupils with either, ASD, ADHD, GDD or SPlg
· Experience working with pupils that exhibit challenging behaviours
· For the class TA role, candidates who have General TA experience combined with a SEN support background would be advantageous
· Experience supporting students in 1:1 and group settings (any interventions experience is advantageous)
· Working under the guidance of the classroom Teacher and helping to prepare and plan daily resources for learning
