Job Description:
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in a local reputable supermarket. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for both employees and clients. Ideal candidates will have experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services, demonstrating a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and other communal areas
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored correctly
- Follow health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team
- Assist with special cleaning projects as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety guidelines
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and time management
Hours of work
- Part time - 6 mornings or 6 afternoons per week
- Monday to Saturday
- 6am-9am (prior to store opening) or 4pm-8pm (store closure)
- 18 - 24 hours per week
