Up to £29,000 per annum (not pro rata) | 40 hours per week | Term Time Only | November 2025 Start

We’re thrilled to be opening Avonside School, a brand-new Acorn Education setting in Bristol. Our co-educational school will support up to 72 young people with complex needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs).

If you’re passionate about Hair, Barbering, Beauty and Teaching we want to use your skills to make a real difference, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality sessions – both theory and practical – that are inclusive, inspiring, and tailored to meet individual learner needs.
Ensure learning is in line with the scheme of work and qualification requirements, equipping learners with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed for employment success.
Embed Maths, English, digital literacy, and personal development throughout your delivery.
Provide timely, clear, and constructive feedback on learners’ work, identifying strengths and areas for improvement to support continued development.
Monitor and manage learner progress and maintain accurate records
Create and maintain a positive, professional, and supportive learning environment.

What You’ll Do

Build positive, consistent, and caring relationships with pupils.
Support individuals or small groups with learning, social, and behavioural needs.
Deliver engaging Hair & Beauty curriculum sessions and prepare resources.
Supervise and support pupils during transitions, breaks, and activities.
Contribute to team meetings, reviews, and progress reports.
Work collaboratively with education and pastoral colleagues to ensure pupil success.
