An exciting opportunity to join Certitude as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner as we continue to grow as London’s leading adult social care provider.
Salary: £35,365 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours
Job Type: Permanent – Full-time
Department: Operations
Location: Across London – based in Balham/Ealing/Hybrid working

About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our well-established and supportive Specialist Support Team to make a real difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities.
We are looking for someone with experience in designing, implementing and embedding person-centred assessment and intervention in line with Positive Behaviour Support approaches. Your energy, enthusiasm, drive for quality, excellent communication skills and track record of getting things done are needed. You’ll be an experienced PBS Practitioner who can deliver compassionate, evidence-based support. If you are committed to improving quality of life and building skills, we’d love to hear from you.
Duties will include:
- Conducting functional behaviour assessments and analysing data to develop and implement PBS strategies
- Supporting individuals at risk of exclusion or hospital admission through tailored support
- Ensuring all assessments are person-centred and accurately reflect risks and needs
- Helping to deliver systems which monitor progress and outcomes
- Delivering training and coaching to build PBS capacity within a team
- Working in partnership with individuals, families and professionals
About you
To be a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner at Certitude, the following are essential:
- Hold a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support or a related discipline.
- A sound understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and autism, including those with complex health and mental health needs.
- Proven experience conducting functional behaviour assessments and implementing PBS strategies.
- Competence in data analysis to inform behaviour support planning and monitor quality-of-life outcomes.
- The ability to build and maintain respectful, trust-based relationships with individuals and families.
