About the role
The Learner services team are now looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Practitioner to join a well-established team. This is a fast-paced and diverse role, in which you will work closely with Programme Leaders and Curriculum Managers to provide high quality support to learners with SEN needs.
Duties will include:
Providing effective and appropriate support to assist learners in reaching their full potential.
Ensuring the learners’ educational experience is varied, enjoyable and achieves primary and additional learning goals.
Maintaining records related to that support.
About the person
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience of supporting learning within a teaching/learning and/or practical environment. They also require a flexible approach to supporting students and a good sense of humour as well as a genuine desire to work with teenagers. The candidate should have knowledge of working with student with an EHCP and conditions such as, but not limited to ADD/ADHD, Autism, Social emotional and behavioural difficulties and Dyslexia.
Candidates should also have:
Level 2/GCSE Maths and English
L3 Vocational qualification
Prior experience working with young people
ICT competency.
