What the school offers its staff
Brentwood School is an outstanding special school which specialises in the education of students with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex needs and autism. Our school benefits from fabulous facilities and is co-located with a post-19 college. Student numbers are set to increase over the coming years and an extension to our building opened in September 2025.
We are also interested in recruiting graduates who are considering a career in teaching, social work, speech and language therapy or occupational therapy. We will provide a comprehensive training programme to equip you with the skills required to work with young people with a range of needs.
We provide a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing CPD for all staff.
We are a warm and friendly school and value the health and wellbeing of our staff.

Brentwood is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment. The post you have applied for is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; pre-employment checks will be carried out, references will be sought and successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and other relevant checks with statutory bodies.
