What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher ofArt to join our Design and Technology faculty. This post could suit an Early Careers Teacher as well as a more experienced candidate. The successful candidate should have the personal drive and commitment to ensure that students continue to receive the best possible teaching that leads to successful outcomes.
To be successful in this role you will have:
• QTS
• Degree level qualification inArtor closely related
What the school offers its staff
South Nottinghamshire Academy is an over-subscribed 11-18 school. In 2016, we moved into our £10 million brand new school and in January 2023, to meet the demand for school places locally, we moved into our new £2.6 million extension. We are located in the village of Radcliffe-on Trent near Nottingham and in May 2022, we again secured a ‘Good’ Ofsted judgement in all areas of inspection, with an aspiration to become outstanding at our next inspection. The school is friendly and forward-looking, and determined to build on the high standards we currently achieve.
South Nottinghamshire Academy is part of Redhill Academy Trust. The Academy is also a member of Redhill College of Leadership and Development and as such there are excellent CPD opportunities and a chance to work alongside colleagues from other high-performing schools in the region. The Trust also leads the regional Teaching School Hub, delivering local teacher training and the National Professional Qualifications for teachers.
