At Pinewood School, we have a rewarding opportunity for enthusiastic, dedicated, and resilient Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant, caring team. You’ll work closely with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs including Learning Difficulties, Autism, Speech, Language & Communication, & Behavioural Needs. You will support them under the guidance of our experienced and nurturing teaching staff.

No experience in SEN or as a Teaching Assistant?

Knowledge & Experience
• A good standard of education particularly in English and Mathematics
• Knowledge of the legal and organisational requirements for maintaining the health, safety and security of yourself and others in the learning environment
• Knowledge of SEN Code of Practice (desirable but not essential as full training will be given)
• Experience of supporting children in a classroom environment
• Experience of using Information Technology to support pupils in the classroom
• Previous SEN experience is not a necessity, although this would be advantageous.
