We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring English Teacher to join a thriving English department on a permanent contract from January 2026. The successful candidate will foster a love of literature and language, delivering engaging lessons that enable students of all abilities to achieve their best.
Duties as English Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Track and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities such as reading clubs, drama, or creative writing workshops.
Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and creativity.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and raise attainment across the department.
Ideal English Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as English Teacher.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities.
