Westlands School Farm is looking for a motivated individual to become part of our vibrant and growing community where young people gain experience of land based studies in a truly vocational setting. The ideal candidate will be reliable with good problem solving abilities, able to self-motivate and work independently within a given time frame. The role involves maintaining the welfare needs of our award winning animals to the highest standards and whilst training will be given, a suitable candidate will have an understanding of the welfare needs of animals and how to care for them on a basic level.
The role is intended to provide weekend cover, four hours a day on Saturday and Sunday.
This is an exciting time to join the Farm Team at Westlands School as we are in the process of adding a new farm classroom block designed to meet the practical needs of a school farm while supporting classroom learning.
