GSOC OperatorOverview
TheGSOC operator is responsible for using best practices to identify, analyze, and support all incidents that are impactful or potentially impactful to business, the brand and or employees. The GSOC operator plays an integral role in the supporting operational efficiencies and the high performance of the GSOC team. The GSOC operator supports regional security teams as they prepare for, respond to, and recover from both crisis and non-crisis incidents. This position is responsible for using best practices for communicating information surrounding those incidents to leadership as appropriate.
Reports To: GSOC Duty Shift Manager
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Act as the GSOC primary POC to address business disruptions, incident response and crisis management in providing general assistance to the Global Security Team.
-If required, assist DC security management and GSOC security management whilst working closely with the regional security teams.
-Provide oversight to routinely support GS operations, in line with established post orders, response protocols and SOPs.
-Liaise with GSS to dispatch security officers, ERT, facilities, police, fire, and EMS personnel in line with Meta protocols and operational guidance documents.
-Communicates and disseminates information, using established communication vehicles, to key partners using best practices.
-Maintain various records of communications and events.
-Use multiple internal and external resources to gather and manage information, intelligence, and incidents.
-Informs (without delay) the regional TOC of any missing, damaged, or inoperative equipment or communications, alarm, CCTV, or other systems.
-Works with the regional TOC to maintain routine security system end user health checks, identifying and mitigating issues that arise.
Special skills and attributes include:
-Relevant security experience, licensing, and certificates as applicable.
-Excellent verbal and communication skills.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to multi-ask, discerns patterns in detail.
-Strong decision-making ability during both crisis and non-crisis situations.
-Able to work with highly confidential information.
