Spark Joy. Stir Memories. Bring Life to Each Day.
You know how powerful a moment of joy can be. A song from the past. A game that brings laughter. A quiet craft session where someone who’s withdrawn suddenly lights up.
That’s what this role is all about. As our Activities Co-ordinator, you’ll help create days that are more than just routine - you’ll create moments that matter.
You’ll be working with people who’ve lived incredible lives. Your job? Helping them keep living in the truest sense - engaged, entertained, included, and valued.
What you'll be doing:
Planning and leading a range of meaningful, special events, inclusive activities: from music, art, and games to gentle exercise and themed events.
Taking time to understand each resident’s story, interests, and abilities - and building activities that bring them to life.
Encouraging involvement at all levels, including residents who are more reserved or living with dementia.
Creating opportunities for fun, connection, creativity and companionship - every single day.
Supporting visits, entertainers, community involvement and special celebrations.
Supporting people to external healthcare appointments
Welcome new people, visitors and families into the home
Who you are:
Warm, creative and full of ideas - with a real passion for working with older people.
Organised, enthusiastic and confident in bringing people together.
A great communicator who can encourage participation without pressure.
Someone who understands that even small moments - a singalong, a shared memory, a burst of laughter - can make a big difference.
Experience in a care setting or activity planning is helpful - but heart, energy and empathy matter most.
What we offer:
A truly rewarding role where you’ll see the impact of your work every day
Fully paid training and plenty of career progression opportunities
Induction programme with a dedicated mentor to help you feel supported and comfortable in your new role
Free DBS check and auto-enrolment pension
