We have an exciting opportunity for a Board Production and Machine Operative to bring their energy and skills to our team! If you're enthusiastic, hands-on, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, this could be the perfect fit for you. Based in our Operations department and reporting directly to the Board Team Leader, you'll play a key role in crafting and assembling Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) display boards. Your work will set the standard - delivering precision, quality presentation, and on-time results that showcase our products at their very best.

Board Making Duties:

  • Prepare and assemble LVT samples, display boards, adhesives, trims, and labels
  • Measure, cut, and mount LVT samples precisely according to specifications
  • Apply adhesives and finishing materials to produce durable and professional boards
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure boards meet presentation and durability standards
  • Package finished boards securely for storage or delivery
  • Work to daily and weekly production targets
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and correct use of PPE
  • Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and working area in a safe and organised condition

Machine Shop Duties:

  • Operate basic workshop tools and equipment (guillotine, CNC, table saw, etc.)
  • Strictly adhere to all health & safety procedures when using wood working machines
  • Monitor output quality, highlighting any issues so that adjustments can be made

Additional Duties

  • Assist with unloading and replenishing box product for sample and board production use
  • Assist with unloading pallets of raw material into required stock locations
  • Housekeeping - Ensuring all work areas are clean and tidy at all times
  • Recycling - Ensuring all waste is disposed of appropriately meeting ISO 14001 guidance
  • Assist in other duties, when time allows, for other departments workloads


Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and practical skills
  • Ability to follow instructions, templates, and measurements accurately
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Previous experience in a production, assembly, or workshop role
  • Familiarity with adhesives, laminating, or flooring products
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and workshop machinery
  • Workshop-based role
  • May involve standing for long periods and manual handling
  • Use of PPE as required
