About the Role:
We are recruiting an experienced Crane Banksman to join a major commercial construction project with a duration of over 20 months. This is a high-profile development requiring skilled professionals who are committed to safety, precision, and teamwork.
As a Slinger/Banksman, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of loads via a tower crane. You'll work closely with the crane operator, site supervisors, and lifting teams to ensure all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with site protocols and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Directing crane operations using hand signals and radio communication.
Coordinating with lifting teams to ensure safe load handling and placement.
Conducting visual checks of lifting gear and ensuring compliance with lifting plans.
Monitoring and ensuring pedestrian safety during crane operations.
Assisting with rigging and slinging duties as required.
Reporting any safety concerns, near misses, or incidents to site management.
Requirements:
Valid CPCS Card or equivalent.
Proven experience working as a Banksman for cranes on large commercial sites.
Strong understanding of lifting operations and safety.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
