Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant: Job Role

As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons and providing support to students during activates
• Work 1-1 or in small groups with students to reinforce learning, provide additional practice and support students with additional learning needs
• Help prepare and organize teaching materials and resources to support lesson delivery
• Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment, adhering to safeguarding protocols and prompting student well-being

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant: Candidate Requirements

We are on the lookout for a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant who holds:

• Holds a 2:1 or higher degree in English, Psychology, Education or related degree
• Strong academic background through GCSE’S and A-Levels
• Demonstrates a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development
• Possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff
• Previous experience in a school setting or working with children is desirable but not essential
