We are looking for a skilled and motivated Chef to join the Facilities team, preparing and serving high-quality meals for our site.
The successful candidate will work as part of the kitchen team to ensure food is cooked to the highest standards, served on time, and meets all hygiene and safety requirements. This role is key in delivering a consistently excellent catering experience for staff and visitors.
Job Description
The Chef will focus on providing tasty, well-presented meals while maintaining efficiency in the kitchen. You will follow standard recipes, assist with stock and ingredient preparation, and support a safe and clean working environment.
The role requires practical cooking skills, attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals to the required standards and recipes.
Ensure all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations are followed.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and work area.
Assist with ordering and preparing ingredients as required.
Help with plating, serving, and presenting meals to a high standard.
Work as part of the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Support efficient use of resources to minimise waste.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Previous experience working as a chef or in a commercial kitchen.
Relevant food preparation and hygiene qualifications (Level 2 Food Safety or equivalent).
Passion for food, attention to detail, and pride in delivering quality meals.
Ability to follow recipes and operational instructions accurately.
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
