Full-Time Nursery Assistant - Day Nursery & Preschool (RG41)
Are you passionate about supporting young children's learning, creativity, and wellbeing? Velox Education is currently seeking dedicated Nursery Assistants for full-time temporary placements at a welcoming and inspiring nursery in the Wokingham area.
About the Nursery
This Day Nursery & Preschool provides care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years, supported by a long-standing, passionate team.
- In the baby room, little ones explore through sensory play, developing early skills and curiosity.
- In the toddler room, role play, imagination, and independence take centre stage.
- In preschool, children enjoy structured learning, preparing them for their first steps into school.
The nursery follows a bespoke curriculum, a holistic approach designed by Early Years specialists that blends creativity, wellbeing, and EYFS foundations to help every child flourish. Enriching extras include Boogie Mites music sessions and plenty of outdoor adventures in the large, age-specific gardens.
With balanced meals from an onsite chef, inclusive care (including nappies, wipes, formula, and creams), and a convenient onsite car park near Wokingham town centre and train station, this nursery has everything in place for children - and staff - to thrive.
✅ What We're Looking For
- Enthusiastic and caring individuals with a passion for Early Years education
- EYFS Level 2 or 3 qualification (essential)
- Energy, positivity, and the ability to inspire children
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child development
- Confidence in working across all age groups, from babies to preschool
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering play-based learning in line with EYFS
- Supporting babies, toddlers, and preschoolers in their daily routines and activities
- Encouraging curiosity, independence, and school readiness
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Promoting health, safety, and wellbeing at all times
