SEND Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provision - Enfield
Full Time | Term Time Only | September 2025 Start
£104 to £114 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)
We are working with a highly respected specialist provision in Enfield to appoint multiple SEND Teaching Assistants to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from September 2025.
This specialist setting offers tailored education and support for children with a range of complex needs, with a particular focus on communication, sensory integration and structured routines. Roles are available across KS2 and KS3, with opportunities to support either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, depending on your experience and preference.
The school promotes a therapeutic, consistent and student-centred approach, and offers a supportive, well-trained staff team who work collaboratively to create a calm and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with ASD through structured learning tasks and daily routines
* Deliver targeted interventions and promote independence
* Assist with communication, emotional regulation and social interaction
* Follow EHCP strategies and work closely with class teachers and therapists
* Monitor behaviour and engagement, feeding back regularly to the SEN team
* Promote a safe and nurturing learning environment for all students
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience supporting students with autism or related needs
* An understanding of sensory processing, visual schedules, or communication tools ( PECS, Makaton)
* Confidence supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
* A calm, proactive and consistent approach to learning and behaviour
* Background in SEN, specialist provision, care or youth work is highly desirable
Location and Transport - Enfield, North London
* Easily accessible via Enfield Town, Southbury and Bush Hill Park stations
* Bus routes include: 121, 191, 313, W8
* Parking available for staff
