We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, adhering to all road transport regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate and maintain a Class 1 HGV vehicle.
Conduct pre- and post-vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
Secure and transport goods efficiently and without damage.
Complete all necessary paperwork and digital logs accurately.
Adhere to all tachograph, Working Time Directive, and road safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any issues or delays.
Candidates must have the following:
Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license.
Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card.
Digital tachograph card.
Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 driver.
Good knowledge of UK road networks.
A strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
No more than 6 points on your license (for insurance purposes).
Excellent time management and communication skills.
This role offers ongoing work
This role is Monday to Friday with varied start times anywhere from 4am-8am with shifts lasting 8-12 hours.
This position pays £16.50 per hour via PAYE and up to £19 per hour via umbrella.
