Employment Opportunity
The Board of Trustees wish to provide an opportunity for an enthusiastic Attendance Officer to work within the North West hub (Oldham) to ensure that pupils attend school regularly and they and their families thrive in a culture that is inclusive and needs met. Deployment to be confirmed upon appointment.
The Harmony Trust was established in February 2014 and currently has 17 schools. This brings with it exciting opportunities for career progression and development for existing and future employees.
The successful candidate will have:
experience of co-ordinating and delivering activities to improve pupil attendance
knowledge of statutory guidance to support the implementation of policies, systems and strategies to ensure pupils attend school regularly
experience of maintaining accurate attendance information and analysis of data to identify pupils at risk of persistent absence
experience of working with families to encourage positive home / school links
an understanding of how to offer practical help and emotional support to families experiencing short or long-term difficulties
experience of liaising with a wide range of agencies to keep children safe, and an understanding of safeguarding them
the ability to undertake the travel requirement of this role
