Permanent post: SY7 £33,552 - £35,763 FTE
(actual £29,606 – £31,557 per annum)
36 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time, plus 1 week)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work pro-actively with our families to develop strong relationships and provide personalised support
Pond Meadow Academy Trust is a specialist day school providing high quality education for approximately 150 young people from 3-19 years of age. Based in Guildford, Surrey, the school meets the needs of pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Severe Learning Disabilities and Complex and Profound Learning Disabilities (including complex medical needs).
The school converted to a Special Academy on 1st November 2014 and has been judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in our last four inspections. Our person-centred educational approach supports every young person to lead a fulfilling, happy and rewarding life.
An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a Home School Link Co-ordinator to join and play an important part in the development of our outstanding Academy. We wish to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated individual who is committed to the safeguarding of all children, developing and maintaining positive relationships between home and school and supporting families and pupils on a wide range of issues.
This role is considered to be ‘regulated’ and as part of our rigorous approach to safeguarding children, candidates will be subject to enhanced DBS approval and will participate in regular safeguarding training and updates
We are looking for someone who is committed to enabling learners to achieve our aspirations and best prepare them for life beyond school who can:
 Support parents/carers, families and pupils on a wide range of issues
 Be part of the school’s Child Support Team, working directly with the DSL
 Support the Attendance Lead to promote high levels of punctuality and attendance
 Gain the Parent Partnership Award
 Lead/co-ordinate parent workshops on topics of interest
 Be a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
