The starting salary for this position is £11,661 per-annum based on a 18-hour working week, pro-rata to £23,322.
We are looking for a fun, enthusiastic and energetic Maintenance Person, or as we call them in Surrey, a Handyperson to join our expanding team. This role will be located at our residential children's home in Woking. We can offer flexible hours for this position, with a possibility of the role becoming full time.

About the Role
Our children's homes support children with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours. We work together to meet the needs of our looked after children between the ages of 11-18; creating a stable foundation which will prepare them for the next stage of their lives.
As a Maintenance Person with us, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance, safety and security of the building and grounds; carrying out checks and minor repairs as necessary to ensure our homes remain safe and well maintained for the children. We want our homes to be exceptional for the children we are entrusted to care for. It's what we strive to provide and what our children want and need.

Local Government Reorganisation (LGR)
Surrey County Council is undergoing Local Government Reorganisation, moving from a two-tier system to new unitary councils in April 2027. Your role will transfer with current terms and conditions to one of these new councils, supporting local devolution and greater powers for our communities.
