Are you passionate about supporting children and families with children under 5?

Would you be interested in an exciting opportunity to support the provision of high-quality targeted Early Help services for families with children under 5 years, living with Bath and North East Somerset area?

Bright Start Children’s Centre Services are looking for a highly committed Family Support Worker to support delivery in Bath East area.

About the Role

The job involves working closely alongside children and their families through Family Support work, primarily delivering research-based practice within the family home and through group-based activities. It involves working with a range of agencies to support vulnerable children and families access the right help, at the right time by the right service and as early as possible, so that they thrive and achieve the best outcomes possible. This is known as Early Help.

About You

The successful candidate will:

Be highly motivated with experience of working in partnership with parents and Early Childhood Services (Health Visiting, Midwifery and Early Years settings) and Voluntary Sector organisations.
Have a relevant professional qualification in Early Years, Education, Health or Social Services, preferably educated to degree level or equivalent.
Have substantial experience of working in a family support context using a ‘Think family’ approach.
Work well as part of a team to deliver the BEST services* for local families and so improve their lives. (*You will be required to work to being the BEST (Bold, Empowering, Supportive and Transparent - the values of Bath and North East Somerset.)
We prioritise development and delivery of a trauma-informed and systemic working practice and seek to develop and deliver excellent local services for families in a flexible and inclusive way. This will involve motivation and innovation as well as a good sense of humour. You will also need to be able to drive.
