Cleaning Supervisor - Housekeeping Focus
Are you looking for an new opportunity to join a busy retail environment? We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join a small team working with a prestigious Mitie retail client.
Daily duties include:
-Assisting with housekeeping duties
-Development of staff through Toolbox Talks
-Adhering to Health and Safety requirements, including COSHH management
-Maintaining excellent service standards
-Drafting the staff rota
-Distribute uniform and Personal Protective Equipment
-Monitor cleanliness standards and use of materials
-Stock ordering
-Delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning.
The role involves internal housekeeping duties and some external supervision when the external supervisor is not scheduled to work. You will ensure that the cleaning staff work to task schedules while following the correct Health & Safety procedures. You will deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner, referring to line manager where appropriate.
The ideal candidate will:
-have previous supervisory and cleaning experience.
-Some housekeeping experience is required.
Skills required for this role:
-Ability or willingness to use some IT systems
-Good communication skills
-Reliable and hardworking
-Professional attitude
-Ability to work to a schedule on your own initiative.
A driving licence and previous experience of using machinery is desirable but not essential.
The rota pattern includes evening, weekend and bank holiday working hours. There is a requirement to cover when a Housekeeper is on annual leave within the rota pattern.
