Your responsibilities in this role include:
- Ensure material availability for assigned projects or commodities, while minimising inventory, cost, and work-in-progress (WIP).
- Collaborate closely with Planning, Warehousing, Operations, Projects, and Engineering to ensure accurate, complete, and timely material supply.
- Work with production planners to determine material requirements and share forward load plans with suppliers.
- Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, including order placement, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and escalation when necessary.
- Execute purchase requisition to purchase order process and support implementation of commodity strategies set by Strategic Procurement.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics/warehousing teams to optimise just-in-time delivery and improve vendor delivery and quality performance.
- Proactively identify and flag material supply risks or shortages, ensuring early corrective action.
- Track and expedite overdue items, resolving issues when stock does not arrive as expected.
- Provide feedback to stakeholders on missing or inaccurate data and contribute to improving data accuracy to reduce material order errors.

- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present data clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands with tenacity.
- Proven experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid knowledge of procurement processes, including P2P, ERP, and MRP systems (ERP data management essential).
- Strong numeracy and data management skills, with proficiency in Excel.
- Degree in Engineering, Business, or another technical field (or equivalent experience)
