Step Teachers are hiring for an English Teacher in Bolton! – Full-Time & Long-Term

Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher looking to bring your passion for literature and language to a new setting? This is an exciting chance to join a forward-thinking secondary school where your expertise can make a lasting impact on young people’s lives.

We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join a successful girls’ secondary school in Bolton, starting ASAP.

This is a full-time, long-term position with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Basics

Location: Bolton
Start: ASAP
Pay: Up to £200 / day for first 12 weeks. Paid to scale from 13th week.
Hours: Full-time Mon–Fri 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Temp-to-Perm for the right person

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering English lessons across KS3 & KS4, including GCSE Language and Literature.
  • Inspiring students with a wide range of texts and helping them develop critical thinking.
  • Assessing and tracking progress carefully, adapting teaching where needed.
  • Supporting literacy across the school and promoting a strong reading culture.
  • Encouraging students to excel both academically and personally.

Who You Are

• Experience teaching English across KS3 & KS4.
  • Confident in delivering both English Language & Literature.
  • Passionate about developing confident readers and writers.
  • Flexible, caring, and responsive to learners’ needs.
  • Committed to academic success alongside personal growth.

  • Proof of right to work & address in the UK.
