Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for an experienced Forklift Driver to join our prestigious Broxburn based manufacturing client.
What's on offer?
- Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm (early Friday finish)
- £13.76 per hour - paid weekly
- 4% shift allowance applied after 12-weeks (£14.31 p/hour)
Working as a Forklift Driver you will be responsible for moving goods, loaded pallets and equipment safely and securely. Your duties will include:
- Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy industrial environments
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
- Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
- Ensuring forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
- Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
- Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods
To be successful in this position you will have a valid external counterbalance FLT license. Combined with the following skills, traits and experience:
- Previous experience in operating a Double-Handler and/or an Aislemaster is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in the drinks industry (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail
- The ability to work well in a team, and on your own
- able to follow both written and verbal instructions
