Join us as a Law Enforcement Representative

  • We’ll look to you to respond to queries from law enforcement agencies and other authorities promptly within set or agreed timelines
  • Day-to-day, you’ll review manual or ineffective processes that could be automated or enhanced to enable the provision of superior customer and business experiences and services
  • Every day, you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact through your work to help us create a secure bank that protects our customers and businesses. You’ll also have a direct link to the banks purpose in delivering a positive contribution to society by assisting Law Enforcement and goverment agencies
  • You’ll work from home some of the time, but you’ll also spend a minimum two days per week working from the office

What you’ll do

Your daily responsibilities will see you assisting with the delivery of successful customer and business outcomes by collaborating with Law Enforcement agencies to interpret their complex legal requests by collecting required information and material about our customers or businesses from across the Group.

Not only will you be participating in initiatives to improve our customer services, processes, and procedures, but you’ll be making sure processing is performed accurately and to a high standard as per the approved procedures and within an agreed timeline.

In addition, you’ll be:

  • Investigating and interpreting requests accurately before raising with relevant parties without delay and escalating where needed, ensuring a high level of quality is delivered
  • Owning, managing, and supervising the risks that exist in your business area to make sure mechanisms are in place to manage and mitigate risk within a defined risk appetite
  • Capturing and collating management information as required, according to recognised processes and practices, and supporting process training and knowledge sharing in your team
  • Operating within our people processes and policies, such as performance management, absence and leave, and supporting others in your team when they are on leave
  • Improving your team’s and our customer performance by driving the adoption of core service behaviours, tools, and techniques
  • Attending court when and where required across the UK to evidence information shared through witness statements you would have provided to assist with criminal convictions

The skills you’ll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally need knowledge of Financial Crime and banking operations.

It would be beneficial if you have a background of Law Enforcement knowledge specifically in relation to legal orders and the data protection acts.

Furthermore, you’ll need:

  • An awareness of changes in trends, policies, and regulations
  • An understanding of the industry and its customers
  • A good knowledge of products, processes, and banking systems
