What skills and experience we're looking for

Required from 1st January 2026: Governors are seeking to appoint an inspiring teacher of Art, who is committed to excellent teaching and learning, has high expectations of pupils and supports pupils’ personal development.

You will enjoy being part of a collaborative and dedicated team of specialist staff, who work with integrity together to enable all pupils to flourish. The role will mainly be focused on the teaching of Art at Key Stages Three and Four, with the potential of also teaching to A Level.

The successful candidate will:

o Be willing to work hard, be kind and make a difference

o Have a good honours degree in a relevant subject

o Be an excellent classroom teacher with the ability to inspire pupils about the subject

o Identify knowledge gaps and devise effective intervention strategies

o Provide feedback to pupils about their learning and how to improve

o Use data effectively to track the progress of pupils

o Be passionate about working at The Deanery and fully support our Christian ethos
