Rattray Community Connect
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who has a flair for customer service, to provide administrative support for social work and social care staff who are based at Rattray Community Connect, High Street, Rattray.
The Business Assistant will be based at Rattray Community Connect but will be required to provide support to teams across Finance & Business Support.
You will encounter a variety of people, including families attending the building for contact meetings etc.
Skills & Experience Required
The type of core skills we are also looking from you are, for example:
- Knowledge and experience of working with MS Office (Office 365).
- Excellent typing/word processing skills (including formatting reports which can contain detailed information relating to young people and their family circumstance).
- Working on databases i.e. Swift/CCM/Mosaic social work practitioner system (desirable as training can be provided).
- Financial reconciliation on petty cash, for example.
- Placing orders through the Council’s Procurement system and process invoices for payment (desirable as training can be provided).
- Ability to evaluate significance and urgency of information received and take appropriate action.
- Equipped to deal sensitively with highly confidential information, of a potentially distressing and emotionally disturbing nature.
- Ability to deal with parents, managers, external partners and other professionals effectively.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills, with the ability to remain professional and calm when dealing with challenging situations.
We are seeking a highly organised, self-motivated and pro-active Business Assistant with a friendly and approachable manner. With an ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, you will be good at multi-tasking and an enthusiastic team player.
As you will be coming into contact with young people and their families, you must have excellent customer service skills and be able to work effectively under pressure. As you will be exposed to confidential information, you must have an appreciation for tact and follow security protocols.
- A good standard of general education is required, including qualifications equivalent to Standard Grade (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Excellent IT skills are essential, including proficiency in common software applications and digital tools relevant to administrative tasks.
- An administration qualification would be advantageous.
- A demonstrated willingness to undertake further training or education is essential.
- You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
