We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a vibrant performing arts department starting November 2025. You will inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable), fostering a love of music and supporting them to develop their performance, composition and listening skills.
Duties as a Music Teacher:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Music lessons in line with the National Curriculum and exam board specifications.
Lead and support extra-curricular activities such as choirs, ensembles, concerts and school productions.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and setting ambitious targets.
Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and confidence.
Collaborate with colleagues in the performing arts faculty to share best practice and develop cross-curricular projects.
Ideal Music Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Music or a related subject.
Strong musicianship and the ability to teach a variety of musical styles and instruments.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Music Teacher.
A passion for inspiring young musicians and developing a thriving music culture within the school.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
