Senior Catering AssistantScale 2 - £25,185 - £25,583 pro rata per annum (Actual salary £18,749.91 - £19,046.22)31 hours and 15 mins per week, term time (39 weeks) + 3 days per yearSouth Wolds is a high attaining, semi-rural- popular school located in the village of Keyworth in Nottinghamshire which is only 6 miles from West Bridgford. We are also a founding partner of the East Midlands Education Trust, committed to providing a first-class education for all of our students.We are seeking to appoint a motivated and experienced Senior Catering Assistant to work alongside our Catering Manager to help run the catering facility within our school. The job involves assisting with the cooking of school meals, serving pupils, washing up and cleaning duties. The person appointed should have a flexible approach to the role to meet the needs of the school. A knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety and previous catering experience is desirable.The working hours worked will be 7.45am - 2.30pm, Monday to Friday during term time only, plus 3 cleaning days.You must be able to speak English to a good enough standard to allow you to clearly communicate with colleagues and students and you must be fit enough to stand for periods of time as well as being able to lift and move large food trays.On the application form, please focus on a detailed 'supporting statement' taking into account the person specification and indicating why you would be the best person for us to recruit to this position.For further information regarding the post, or to arrange an informal discussion about the post, please contact Gail Burrows at gburrows@southwolds.co.uk or call the school office on 0115 937 3506 The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
