Do you love working with young people? Would you like to inspire local 13- 16-year-olds to aim for a creative career? If yes? Then we would encourage you to apply for this exciting new opportunity.
Suffolk New College is now working with the Saturday Club Trust to offer new National Saturday Clubs to local 13- to 16-year-olds. This opportunity enables local young people to gain experience and the Club Members will be on our campuses every Saturday, learning new skills, meeting new people, and breaking down any barriers to their continued creative study.
This exciting role enables you to influence and motivate local young people who are considering a future creative career. In this role, you will also be a part of the National Saturday Club brand and have the opportunity to work with other club tutors/managers across the Country. There are also visits to London within the club year, where all club members showcase their work and share best practice.
The club will run on Saturdays for 3 hours during term time, 10am to 1pm (for 18 weeks) and is fixed term. There is attendance required at the Summer Show at the end of the year (date to be confirmed).
You will be someone who has a passion for the subject area of Film and screen, who enjoys working with young people, and who is comfortable in a teaching environment. Ideally, you will have a wide breadth of knowledge and skills across multiple disciplines and confident delivering different subject sessions.
