Crynodeb
When: Mondays 8.30am -3.00pm, Tuesdays 9.00am - 3.00pm, Wednesdays 7.00am - 12.00noon, Thursdays 12.00noon - 4.00pm (21.5 hours per week, Term Time only, with a potential for additional hours).
Pay: Zero hours contract, starting at £12.21 per hour (National Living Wage) with potential to review based on experience.
Qualifications: Must have Level 3 Early Years Educator (minimum).
About the role: We are looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our close-knit team at The Village Pre-School, Upham. You will work as a key person, responsible for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing, while building strong relationships with families and colleagues.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a Key Person to a small group of children, maintaining accurate observations and records
- Supporting children's interests through planned and spontaneous activities
- Ensuring the safety, welfare, and happiness of the children at all times
- Preparing snacks/lunches and assisting with mealtimes
- Supporting children with personal care routines (including nappy changing)
- Liaising professionally with parents/carers at drop-off and collection
- Setting up and packing away the setting in line with daily rota
- Attending regular staff meetings and training sessions
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to complete essential training (e.g. Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, First Aid)
- Enhanced DBS check (paid for by the setting) and registration with the Update Service (paid for by you)
- A proactive, flexible attitude and a genuine love of early years education
