Summary
Support Worker - Papworth Trust is seeking a Support Worker to join the Ipswich, Suffolk team in this permanent role on either a full-time or part-time basis.

About the role:
As a Support Worker, you will play a key role, as part of a dedicated team providing customer-focused support in a 24-hour service, 365 days a year. You will assist customers in identifying and achieving their personal goals, fostering their independence and integration into the community. You'll deliver hands-on support with daily living skills, personal care, and recreational activities, always ensuring that each individual's preferences and needs are respected. This role requires working on a rota basis, which includes weekends, bank holidays, and shift work as required.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality personal and emotional support to customers, promoting their independence.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, medication administration, and household chores.
- Encourage and facilitate social participation and community engagement for customers.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with our policies and procedures.
- Work closely with customers, families, and external agencies to tailor support plans that empower individuals.
About you:
As a Support Worker/Day Support Worker, you will have previous experience in a similar role or are looking to start a new career. What matters most are your values, empathy, teamwork, flexibility, and communication skills. Whether you have experience in delivering personal care or a willingness to learn, your proactive approach will be key in enhancing service delivery and fostering personal growth for our customers. We will provide full training and ongoing support to give you the confidence to deliver high-quality care and support.
