Shift Patterns: 2 Positions are available, and the hours are as below:
Position 1: 2 Positions are available with an average of 54 hours per week. The hours are as below:
Position 2: 18:00 – 06:00 Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun Nights, plus alternate Wednesday nights.

We are seeking a highly organised and alert Control Room Operator & Scheduler to join our 24/7 operations team within a busy and dynamic security services provider. This critical role ensures the effective coordination of mobile response teams, the secure handling of client keys, and the timely delivery of accurate reporting and compliance tasks. The successful candidate will be a calm, detail-oriented professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills, capable of operating effectively under pressure in a fast-paced control room.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Monitor and respond to incoming alarms, CCTV systems, and service requests in real time.
• Dispatch and direct mobile response officers to incidents, scheduled patrols, and client sites.
• Manage and control key holding procedures, ensuring keys are logged, tracked, and handled securely.
• Act as a first point of contact for client queries, service escalations, and incident updates.
• Maintain detailed logs and incident reports, ensuring all activity is recorded in line with company procedures and client expectations.
• Coordinate and optimise patrol schedules, adapting to changing priorities, emergencies, or staff availability.
• Monitor guard tour systems, alarm activations, lone worker processes, and compliance checklists.
• Ensure all operations are compliant with SIA regulations, internal SOPs, and contractual SLAs.
• Conduct regular system and site compliance checks, flagging and escalating issues as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professional and courteous communication with clients and field teams at all times.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
• Applicants must be aged 18+ with a valid SIA License.
• Must have a 5-year checkable work or back to school history.
• Proof of right to work and live in the UK.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good written skills for report writing and documentation.
• Clear criminal record and satisfactory employment references.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and a calm, professional demeanour in high-pressure situations.
Requirements:
• Experience in a control room, security dispatch, or similar high-responsibility operational environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks in real time.
• Confidence in using security monitoring platforms, reporting tools, and scheduling software.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make fast, sound decisions.
• SIA Licence (CCTV or Security Guarding/Door Supervisor) preferred.
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and digital communication systems.
• Flexibility to work across day and night shifts on a rolling 24/7 rota.
Desirable:
• Knowledge of Keyholding & Alarm Response compliance
• First Aid certification
• Experience with lone worker monitoring or GPS dispatch systems
