A well-established, purpose-built veterinary practice in the charming market town of Sleaford, Lincolnshire is seeking a confident Veterinary Surgeon who holds, or is working towards, a CertAVP in Small Animal Surgery. This is an exciting opportunity for a surgical-focused vet looking to develop advanced techniques, lead case planning, and provide exceptional peri-operative care.
The Practice
This beautiful practice boasts five consulting rooms, separate dog and cat wards, and state-of-the-art operating theatres equipped with the latest technology, including ECG, orthopaedic equipment, digital/dental x-ray, and ultrasound. The team delivers care to a busy and varied caseload and is a training practice for both nurses and vets. The supportive, experienced team ensures a collaborative environment where professional development is encouraged.
The Role
The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to perform advanced procedures such as TPLO/TTAs, spinals, fracture repair, perineal urethrostomy, TECA, BOAS, thoracotomy, and other complex soft tissue surgeries. They will provide outstanding clinical care, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence while upholding the highest professional and regulatory standards.
Hours & Flexibility
• 40 hours per week over 4 days, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays (08:30 – 14:30)
• Part-time arrangements are welcome – flexibility can be discussed

Skills & Experience
• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Skilled in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients
• Strong team player with demonstrated clinical leadership skills
• Experienced in fostering a progressive clinical culture
• Confident in supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures
• Uses coaching and influencing skills to maximise team performance
