Location: Newbridge, Co. Kildare
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €29.00 per hour

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Management Technician (Mechanical/Plumbing) to join our team at a leading food manufacturing facility in Newbridge. In this role, you’ll ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of hard FM services, focusing on mechanical systems, plumbing infrastructure, and building services.

Reporting to the FM Supervisor, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining operational continuity, asset reliability, and service excellence across a fast-paced production site.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver planned, reactive, and corrective maintenance across mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Carry out inspections and ensure compliance for HVAC, boilers, water systems, and life safety equipment.
  • Manage work orders via CAFM (Maximo), ensuring all documentation and records are accurate and up to date.
  • Respond promptly to helpdesk requests and client queries.
  • Support minor installations, repairs, and modifications to building systems.
  • Assist with operational support including event setups, deliveries, and furniture moves.
  • Monitor site conditions, report hazards, and follow strict health & safety protocols.
  • Represent Sodexo professionally, maintaining positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong background in mechanical and/or plumbing services within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC, boilers, water systems, and life safety equipment.
  • Solid understanding of compliance requirements in a food production facility.
  • Good IT literacy (Microsoft Office, handheld devices).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Full Irish driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience with CAFM systems (e.g., Maximo).
  • Knowledge of GMP and audit-driven environments.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or production.
  • Ability to identify service improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
