We now have a vacancy for a hard working and flexible welder/heavy plant fitter at our site in Bawsey.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Heavy Plant Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques (MIG and stick) and heavy plant maintenance/repairs. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards.
Duties
Perform welding on various materials.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
Routine maintenance on heavy plant.
Operate forklifts and cranes for material handling as needed.
Maintain a clean and organised work area while following all safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience in welding and fitting.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Experience operating hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and cranes safely.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
You must have good attendance, be reliable and punctual and have the ability to adapt quickly to changes in the workplace. A flexible, "can-do" attitude and a strong work ethic are essential personal skills.
