Are you a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant with BSL Level 1 looking for a rewarding, long-term opportunity? We are working with a fantastic primary school in the Carmarthen area seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils’ learning and communication. This position is long-term with the potential to become permanent for the right person, offering stability and the chance to make a lasting impact.

While a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is ideal, Welsh-speaking candidates with BSL Level 1 will absolutely be considered. This is a brilliant opportunity to use your Welsh language and British Sign Language skills to help every child access their education fully.

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Be fluent in Welsh and hold BSL Level 1 (or higher)


    • Ideally be a Level 2 Teaching Assistant or have strong relevant experience


    • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, patience, and adaptability


    • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
