Part-time equivalent 10hrs every weekend.
Rate of pay £12.21 per hour.
Numada Healthcare Limited is an independent care company providing nursing and residential care to older persons and to people living with a learning disability. We aim to support them to maintain their independence and continue to live their lives the way they chose. We provide care and support to adults over the age of 18 and pride ourselves in delivering high quality care.
About the role:
Merlin Park Residential Home is looking for someone who is committed to delivering and maintaining high standards of laundry services, cleanliness, and infection control. You’ll be a key player in the team, ensuring residents’ clothing and linens are kept fresh, hygienic, and well cared for.
Shifts will be as below:
• 08:00am – 13:00pm Saturday
• 08:00am – 13:00pm Sunday
Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment safely.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron clothing and linens.
• Handle delicate fabrics with care.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control.
• Keep laundry area clean, tidy, and well-organised.
• Monitor stock and report when supplies need replenishing.
• Work closely with housekeeping, care staff, and residents.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Keep a positive and team-focused attitude.
Requirements:
• The right to work in the UK.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of laundry procedures, detergents, and fabric care.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to lift and carry laundry items and stand for extended periods.
