Transport Administrator – Transport Office (Oldbury) Location: Oldbury, B69
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 17:00 – 02:30 (includes a 30-minute break)
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Temporary – until Christmas (maybe extended)
Role Overview: We’re looking for a reliable and organised Administrator/Clerk to support our busy Traffic Office in Oldbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced transport environment, with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Despatch Coordination: Allocate and despatch agency and subcontracted drivers efficiently.
- ⏱️ Departure Management: Monitor scheduled departures, ensuring timely execution and managing any delays or exceptions.
- Communication & Documentation:
- Answer incoming calls professionally.
- Print and distribute route paperwork and maps.
- Team Support: Assist the Linehaul Shift Manager and Operations Manager with administrative tasks and operational updates.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Basic transport knowledge is a plus – but not essential as full training will be provided
